A virtual set-up is a computer simulation of the proposed treatment plan and it is consisted  of 3d Images and video files showing the expected treatment results from many angles.

The advantage of virtual set-ups is that it is possible to simulate different modalities of treatment for the same patient (e.g. expansion versus extraction), in order to determine which treatment would be ideal for the case.
